Music Ministry

Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord!




Ministry Goal: To act as leader of sung prayer at all liturgical functions.
Age: high school age or older.
Training Needed: Must possess a pleasant voice and sense of pitch; some previous experience and musical background preferred, but not necessary.
Time Commitment: Minimum of one Eucharistic Celebration per month;  private rehearsal with the music director for proper preparation and training.
Duration of Commitment: One year at a time with reliability being a must.

Ministry Goal: Leads the sung prayer at the 10:00 a.m. Choral Eucharist from September through the feast of Pentecost; Christmas, Holy Week, Easter as well as several choral liturgies during Advent and Lent.
Age: High School and older.
Training Needed: Must possess a sense of pitch, a love of singing, an appreciation for music of various styles and genres, and a commitment to weekly rehearsal as well as private study.

Time Commitment: Rehearsals take place every Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., plus Sunday 9:30 a.m. warm up and 10:00 a.m. Eucharist.
Duration of Commitment: One full choir season.
